TOFU SKIN SANDWICH
SUMMARY
Enjoy a healthy twist on a classic sandwich by using tofu skin as a bread alternative. Get creative with your favorite veggies to make it uniquely yours!
Ingredients (serves 3-4):
- 3-4 pcs. tofu skin (fresh or frozen)
- 2 slices vegetarian ham
- 4 slices pineapple
- 8 slices cucumber
- 4 slices cheese
Seasonings:
- sugar
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- a pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Pan fry vegetarian ham and cut in half. Pan fry tofu skin until it turns golden brown.
- Marinate pineapple slices with sugar for at least five minutes.
- Marinate cucumber slices with salt and sugar.
- Unfold the tofu skin, and layer with vegetarian ham, marinated pineapple, cucumber slices, and cheese slices, then fold the tofu skin to form a sandwich.
