Cabbage Chant

The Master forbade the chef monk to buy processed foods, unless lay disciples bring them to the temple. Once the chef monk found that there had been nothing but cabbage, radish, and tofu in the kitchen for days. Running out of varieties, he asked the Master what to do.
Master said,
"We chant the same sutra every morning, don't we?"
