Hammer Dharma

A novice monk has been doing labor work for quite a while. Not knowing the ways of cultivation, he was getting wearied of the work. When he met the Master one day, he knelt down and asked respectfully,
"Master, what is Buddha Dharma?"
The Master picked up a hammer and a chisel and stroke the wall.
He said,
"This is Buddha Dharma."
