提起覺性過生活

自從學佛後,我開始對自己的念頭及行為愈來愈有覺性。在面對境界時,尤其是困境,我會試著停下腳步、反省檢討自己,而不是毫無正念地做出回應,並且放下狹隘的想法,從更寬廣的角度看待事情。
面對生活中的人事物,我太習慣立刻做出回應,結果反而做錯更多事。其實生命中的每一刻,不論境界是好是壞,都是讓我磨鍊、增長智慧的好機會。再者,遇到任何修善的因緣,都要好好珍惜及把握,因為即便是一件最微小的善行,在別人的生命中都可能產生巨大的影響。
每天提起正念和靜坐定心,已經成為我生活中重要的修行。除了養成按時靜坐,我也盡力在每一分每一秒保持正念。當妄想來時,我就練習讓這念心回到當下。堅持每天靜坐,不但讓這念心更專注、更平靜,我也因此一步一步地回復本具清淨佛性。
Awakening My LIfe to Awareness
Ever since my journey with Buddhism began, I have started becoming more mindful of both my thoughts and my actions. When faced with situations, particularly difficult ones, I try to take a moment to pause and reflect rather than just to mindlessly react. I try looking at the bigger picture rather than just seeing the situation from a narrow-minded point of view.
All too often we react much too quickly to situations life throws at us, which leads to many mistakes and wrongdoings. Every moment in our life, whether good or bad, is an opportunity to practice wisdom. Every opportunity to practice good deeds must be cherished and taken advantage of, for even the slightest good deed can have the biggest impact on another individual's life.
Mindfulness and Meditation have become a very important part of my daily life. Aside from my daily meditation routine which I diligently follow, I try to make every moment of my life as mindful as possible. Whenever my mind wanders, I try to bring it back to the present moment. Having a consistent meditation practice not only helps me focus and calm my mind but also helps bring me closer to my inherent true nature.
